01Policy Overview
At Codly India Private Limited, we invest significant time, talent, and resources into every project from day one. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both parties — protecting clients from genuine failures while ensuring our team is compensated fairly for work already performed.
✅ Our Commitment: We will always work transparently to resolve disputes before any refund is needed. If you are unhappy with any deliverable, contact us first and we will make it right.
This policy applies to all services rendered by Codly India Private Limited, including custom development projects, product subscriptions, maintenance plans, and consulting services. Project-specific terms in signed contracts supersede this general policy where in conflict.
02Custom Development Projects
Custom software projects (mobile apps, web apps, AI solutions, automation systems) are governed by the following refund rules:
Advance / Deposit (Non-Refundable):
The initial advance (30–50% of project value) paid to commence work is strictly non-refundable. This covers project initiation, requirement analysis, architecture planning, design mockups, and resource allocation.
If a project has not yet started (no work commenced within 7 days of advance payment), a full refund of the advance is possible. Contact us within this window.
Milestone Payments (Partial Refund Possible):
If the Client cancels a project mid-development, milestone payments already made are non-refundable for work completed.
If Codly India has not yet started a milestone phase, the payment for that specific uncompleted milestone may be refunded upon written agreement.
After Final Delivery (Not Eligible):
No refunds are issued after the project has been delivered and signed off by the Client.
Bugs discovered after delivery are covered by the 30-day bug warranty at no additional cost — not as refunds.
⚠️ Codly India's Fault: If we fail to deliver the agreed scope within the agreed timeline due to reasons entirely within our control, and we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable cure period (14 days), the Client is eligible for a partial or full refund of the affected milestone payment.
03Product Subscriptions (AI Vision, StreamVault)
Our own products — including AI Vision and StreamVault — have a separate refund policy designed to be more consumer-friendly:
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you have subscribed but not made significant use of the product (fewer than 5 sessions / significant API calls), you are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of initial payment.
After 7 Days: Subscriptions are non-refundable after the 7-day window. You retain access until the end of your billing period.
Annual Plans: If you subscribed to an annual plan and request a refund between day 7 and day 30, we will refund a pro-rata amount for unused months, minus a ₹500 processing fee.
Service Downtime: If our products experience unplanned downtime exceeding 24 continuous hours in a billing period, affected subscribers will receive a pro-rata credit applied to their next billing cycle.
04Monthly Maintenance Plans
Monthly maintenance plans can be cancelled with 7 days' written notice before the next billing date.
If cancelled mid-month, a pro-rata refund is issued for the remaining unused days of the current billing period.
Work already performed in the current month (bug fixes, updates, security patches) is non-refundable.
Annual maintenance contracts have a 30-day cancellation notice period. A pro-rata refund for remaining full months is available, minus a 10% early termination fee.
05Non-Refundable Items
The following are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
✕ Initial project deposits / advances (after work has commenced)
✕ Completed and delivered milestones that were approved by the Client
✕ Third-party costs incurred on behalf of the Client (domain registration, server costs, API licences, app store fees, etc.)
✕ Rush/priority fees for expedited project timelines
✕ Consulting and discovery call fees (if applicable)
✕ Subscription fees after the 7-day refund window
✕ Services cancelled due to the Client's violation of our Terms of Service
06Cancellation by Client
To cancel a project or subscription, please contact us in writing (email or WhatsApp) with your project name and reason for cancellation. Upon cancellation:
All completed work will be invoiced and must be paid before any deliverables are released.
A cancellation summary will be prepared within 5 business days showing: work completed, invoiced amount, amounts paid, and any refund due.
Any eligible refund will be processed within 14 business days of written cancellation confirmation.
Partial deliverables will be handed over only upon full payment of outstanding amounts.
07Cancellation by Codly India
In the rare event that Codly India must cancel a project (e.g., unforeseen circumstances, resource unavailability, ethical concerns), we will:
Provide 14 days' written notice where possible.
Deliver all completed work in a usable state.
Refund all payments proportional to work not completed — i.e., if 60% of work is done, 40% of payments are refunded.
Assist with project handover to another development team if requested.
08How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us using any of the following methods with your full name, project name/reference, payment date, amount, and reason for the refund request:

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide a decision within 7 business days.
09Refund Processing & Timeline
Approved refunds are processed as follows:
Razorpay / Stripe / PayPal: Refunded to the original payment method within 5–10 business days (subject to payment gateway processing times).
Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS): Processed within 5–7 business days after approval.
International Wire Transfer: Processed within 7–14 business days and may involve bank charges on both ends.
Codly India does not charge any administrative fee for processing eligible refunds. Third-party payment gateway fees (typically 2–3%) may not be recoverable and will be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.
10Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving all billing disputes amicably. Our process:
Step 1 — Direct Resolution (7 days): Contact billing@codly.in. Our billing team will investigate and respond within 7 business days.
Step 2 — Escalation (14 days): If unresolved, escalate to our management team. We will review all evidence and provide a final written decision.
Step 3 — Mediation: For disputes above ₹50,000, both parties may agree to engage a neutral mediator.
Step 4 — Consumer Forum: Clients in India have the right to escalate to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
